Making the C presentable. Bill Elder
Route 66.

Home in Canada, ready to get started.

Up in the air, let's go below.

Rear of the torque converter.

Note the 57 only rear U joint.

A fella can get mighty dirty working underneath.

Turning attention to the interior.

Seats and carpet removed.

Rear seat floors solid.

Carpet and jute installed.

Let's do the trunk as well.

A tach is added.

The 392. It is the original engine.

The original frost plugs -- I pushed a screw driver right through them with ease. To think I drove the car home like that.
Also, the transmission that had no second gear.

Besides carb rebuilds, the only other thing I did to the engine was clean out all of the old sludge deposits in the pan.

Cylinder heads just back from the rebuilders. Bill also changed the timing gear and chain, just because.
I cleaned and clear coated the originals and they are hanging on my family room wall.

The best place for engine parts -- the guest bed room.

Preparing the engine bay before the engine goes back in.

New dash pad, top side.

New dash pad.

Comparison of new and original dash pads.

New seat covers from Legendary await installation.

Dash panel minus dash pad.

Interior pieces undergoing paint cure.
