Now that winter and cold temperatures have moved in, I have time to address some small issues, such as the foggy rear window. I am reasonably sure the window that is in there dates back to the mid 1990's when Ed had a new top installed. Although it has had plenty of indoor storage, it has had exposure to the elements and has had its share of use. So no surprise it is a little foggy and hard to see out of.
I asked a friend of mine in the upholstery business if he wanted to replace it. He didn't, saying it is a pretty big job and on an 20+ year old top, we might end up replacing the whole top. He suggested Novus plastic polish and I thought I would give it a try. You can watch the video here.

On one cold winter day, I decided to tackle the scratches on the passenger side front glass. A clip that secured the "window fuzzy" (cat whisker) had come loose and made vertical scratches in the glass. Although I had not before used one of those "scratch remover" kits, I gave it a try. I removed the glass, brought it to the shop and went at it. I'd say 95% of the scratches are gone so I rate the effort a success. You can watch details here.
