Golden Lion Grrrages
1964 Chrysler 300K Convertible
Here is the car fresh from the restoration shop in 1989.
3,647 Ks were built. 3,022 were coupes and 625 were convertibles.
This car is one of the 11 convertibles built in Sable Tan.
This picture is from the 300 Club meet in Pittsburgh back in 1989. At that time it was
sporting a fresh restoration by Bill Elder.
Here are a few pictures of the top cylinders and motor.
I was chasing a leak in the system and found one cylinder had a small
bit of corrosion.
New cylinders from Hydro-E-Lectric solved the problem.
Hard to believe, I bought this car in 1996. It is a great car for driving in the summer but
I parked it in 2011 to work on other projects.
This picture is from 2020 when I decided to get it out
of the garage and move it to the work shop.
I plan to go through the brakes and give it
a freshening to have it back on the road for this summer.
