I like to paint springs before installation, although you don't need to. Here is the spring finished in Eastwood satin chassis black. |
| Encountered an odd rust situation. This is the driver's side fender with the headlights removed. The headlight support is rusted away yet the rest of the fender is pretty good. |

And by comparison, the passenger side fender is near perfect. |

A closer look of the same piece.
I am using chrome cleaner and 0000 steel wool to remove the rust by hand. After the first cleaning, I'll repeat with chrome cleaner and a stiff paper towel, followed by waxing. The results are pretty good and I found I make better parts by hand than if using a power buffing wheel. |
