I will be installing new rear springs. I chose Eaton Detroit
and here is one of the springs shortly after arrival.

I like to paint springs before installation, although you don't need to.
Here is the spring finished in Eastwood satin chassis black.

Encountered an odd rust situation. This is the driver's side
fender with the headlights removed. The headlight support is
rusted away yet the rest of the fender is pretty good.

And by comparison, the passenger side fender is near perfect.

Work continues on the chrome pieces of the interior.

I am using chrome cleaner and 0000 steel wool
to remove
the rust by hand.
After the first cleaning, I'll repeat with chrome
cleaner and a stiff paper towel, followed by waxing.
The results are pretty good and
I found I make better parts by hand than if using
a power buffing wheel.
