1966 Imperial Crown Page 7 2014 update: Due to other projects, I stored this car from July of 1995 to September of 2005. I used one of those large plastic storage bags where you put the entire car inside the bag and seal it up. I added a dessicant before sealing and the car stored nice and dry all that time. When I took it out of the bag in 2005, the odometer read 26,244 miles. In 2006 I replaced the master cylinder and flushed the brake system with new fluid. In 2012 I replaced the thermostat and filled the radiator system with new antifreeze and installed new spark plugs. I also replaced the heater core with a new unit. In 2013 I replaced the gas tank with a new one and replaced the front to rear gasoline line. The old tank had been sealed by a previous owner and I think the new alcohol fuels were causing trouble with the old sealer. In 2014 I had some body work done. By May of 2014 it was running like a new car, miles on the odometer now 26,260. These pictures are from July of 2014 The carpet shows almost no wear. Bright and early one Sunday morning, the truck showed up and she was on her way to the new owner in Florida. Back To Page One
