The engine returns. The air cleaner housing was a spare
to protect the engine from the elements during transport.

A new alternator and fuel pump, and pump push rod.

This is the fuel pump push rod from the original engine.

It measures 3.213"

You can see the wear on the end, and it is not much.

This is a new push rod.

This new rod measures 3.212"
I have seen some new rods at 3.225" so there is some variation in manufacture.

New fuel lines and some detail to various pieces.

Time to install the clutch.

Bell housing removed.

Easy to install the new clutch and pressure plate when the engine is not in the car.

Let's give the clutch fork some attention while it is easy to access.

A second person and a jack would have been better than the lift truck.

but the job was completed.


A quick call to Brewer's for other parts and we have what we need.



A new boot for the rod between the clutch pedal and pivot shaft.

A new boot for the clutch fork lever.
